Daniel Edouard, dubbed the “Haitian Sensation”, is a great boxer from Haitian descent born in Jersey City, New Jersey. Every New Year we make a list of goals, cut out pictures of our dreams on a vision board, and some of us go on a monthly spiritual fast all in the hopes of setting ourselves up for a successful new year! It is a joyful time because we feel we have a fresh start to move in a positive direction in our relationships, careers, and finances. BUT…. Yeah there is a BUT!There is an enemy lurking and often times it is found deep within the crevices of our minds, hiding and waiting for the perfect time to show up! Self Doubt does not ask for an invitation but imposes its ideas as if it is law. Being a law abiding citizen often we follow suit and let go of the very dream we were destined for. To live life more abundantly!! We become sidetracked by our family dysfunctions, and the cares of this world. In other words Life happens and our reality does not match our Fantasy. What do we do in times of weakness and self doubt? ”Fight the good fight of faith” . Nothing comes easy we must Fight to keep the dream alive! So we should expect that in spite of the plans we make there will be things that come up that were not planned. Yet we are prepared to persevere because all things are working out for our good! So the business/school loan didn’t come through the first time…PERSEVERE! No one believes in you…PERSEVERE! My mother and my father were not there…PERSEVERE!!!! Insert your situation here ( )PERSEVERE!!! I would like to leave you with Four tips that can help you Fight the Good Fight of Faith in this New Year!!!
1. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE PEOPLE
2. SPEAK AFFIRMATIONS OR SCRIPTURES WHEN NEGATIVITY SHOWS UP
3. BE WILLING TO SERVE SOMEONE ELSE WITH THEIR DREAM AS YOU WORK ON YOURS
4. EDUCATE YOURSELF OR FIND AN EXPERT IN AN AREA THAT IS NOT YOUR STRONG SUIT
So I would like to leave a BITE of Information or my recipe for layering with you today.
For me I call it the BITE.
The first layer stands for the BASE! You have to have a good base for anything. That is your foundation. The BASE has to keep your skin dry. I know that you already knew that… right. The Base has to allow for the sweat and moisture from your body while at the same time keeping you dry and comfortable.Cotton is good to use as a base. The base can be your undershirt and in many times it serves the purpose of not being seen.
The Inner Layer (I) is to provide the warmth. A very good example would be any kind of knits.
The (T) Top layer is your coat or jacket. The key purpose is to protect you from the
The E is your Exclamation! Your accessory that you want to add!

I have a confession to make! Yes I have tuned in faithfully many times to see the backbiting, gossiping, and fighting between friends.
